Spiritual Life: Remembrance and Thankfulness

Resident Life
May 5, 2022

Blessings to you as we enter this new month of May, a time of rebirth, growth, and hope! Our theme at Pine Haven this month is "Remembrance and Thankfulness." In Psalm 77, we read the honest and raw prayer of someone whose remembrance at first brings sadness and grief. But as he turns to the Lord, his discouragement turns to faith and thankfulness. The Lord is good, He is faithful, and there is reason for hope, even in the darkest valleys.

We are hosting three memorial services at Pine Haven this month as we honor the memory of residents who have passed away in the past year. We miss them, we experience sorrow and sadness, but as we grieve, we do so as those with hope because of Jesus Christ.
These services are open to all who wish to attend.

Our upcoming Memorial Services at Pine Haven are below. We look to the Lord as we remember and honor residents who have passed away in the past year.

• Tuesday, May 10 @ 6:30 pm, Oostburg campus

• Thursday, May 12 @ 6:30 pm, Haven campus

• Tuesday, May 17 @ 6:30 pm, Giddings campus

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—” (Psalm 103:13-17).

Thank you for your continued prayer support of Pine Haven. We are thankful for our shared ministry with you!

Blessings,
