Meet Elsie and Audrea! These two lovely ladies have been living at Pine Haven for a year now, and they recently decided to volunteer their time at the General Store located at the Haven Drive campus.
Elsie had been waiting for an opportunity to give back to the community and when she heard that the General Store was looking for volunteers, she immediately jumped at the chance. She approached her friend Audrea, and they both agreed that it would be a great way to spend some of their free time.
The General Store is a popular destination for residents of Pine Haven. It's a place where they can find all sorts of items including decor, Pine Haven apparel, snacks, greeting cards, personal items and so much more! But the store wouldn't be possible without the hard work and dedication of volunteers like Elsie and Audrea.
As volunteers, Elsie and Audrea gather suggestions from other residents and pass them along to the store's staff supervisor. They both enjoy setting out new items and organizing the store. Audrea loves that the store keeps her busy, and they both agree that meeting new people has been a great perk of volunteering.
It's heartwarming to see the impact that volunteers like Elsie and Audrea have on the Pine Haven community. Their time, smiles, and the fun they bring to the campus and residents are truly invaluable. They serve as an inspiration to us all to give back to our communities and make a positive impact on the world around us.
If you haven't visited the General Store yet, be sure to stop by on Wednesdays and Fridays from 1-2:30 p.m. You never know who you might meet, or what treasures you might find!
